"The Only Good System" tee is part of the second run of Kāwai Sound System merch, a small DIY batch printed locally in Ōtautahi and released as the project begins to grow.
Inspired by soundsystem culture and the energy of community, this tee represents the simple idea that good music and good people are all you really need.
Each shirt is hand-printed in small quantities, keeping the process close to the culture that inspired it. No mass production, just a straightforward cotton tee made to be worn to gigs, late-night sessions, and wherever the music takes you.

The "KĀWAI SOUND SYSTEM" Drawn Tee features a hand-drawn illustration of the Kāwai Sound System itself. Every box, edge, and detail in the graphic is based on the actual stack used at our dances and events.
Sound systems have always been more than equipment. They’re the centre of the dancefloor and community, built to move people, bring communities together, and carry music further than the room it’s played in.
This illustration captures the first edition of the Kāwai stack as it exists today and turns it into a wearable piece of the project. Each shirt is printed as part of a small DIY run produced locally in limited batches.
The tee itself is a lightweight cotton everyday shirt with a relaxed fit, made to be worn wherever the sound travels.
